Safety information for our candles
- Never leave candles burning unattended.
- Candles should not burn near children and animals.
- Make sure that candles are never placed too close together or one below the other. As a rule, a safety distance of 10 cm between candles is recommended. In height, this is approximately 30 cm.
- Candles should not be placed too close to flammable objects such as curtains.
- Be sure to use suitable, fireproof candle holders.
- The candle should stand firmly on the candle holder. Make sure it is in a straight position.
- Matchstick remnants, pieces of wick or other foreign objects do not belong in the candle.
- The wick should be a maximum of 6 to 7 millimeters. The thicker the wick, the shorter it should be.
- Candles do not tolerate drafts: they begin to produce soot, drip and burn unevenly.
- Heat sources also influence the burning of candles.
- If the wick is visibly sooty, carefully shorten it; if necessary, extinguish the candle.
- Never bend or break a solidified wick.
- When lighting a new candle, straighten the cotton wick.
- Always let candles burn at least until the entire burn bowl is liquid.
- Smother the candle flame, do not blow it out – it is best to dip the wick into the liquid wax to extinguish it and then return it to its original position.
- Find a quiet place for your candles.
- Do not extinguish candle flame with water
- No liability is accepted for damage resulting from improper use.
